OUR STORY

AutismHugs began with the love of a mother for her child.

When my child was diagnosed with autism, my heart was filled with so many emotions - fear, confusion, worry, and uncertainty about the future. But more than anything, I worried that one day my child might feel different, misunderstood, or alone in this world.

As a mother, that was the hardest feeling of all.

I never wanted my child to feel like they needed to change who they are to be accepted. I wanted them to grow up feeling proud, safe, included, and deeply loved exactly as they are.

So I started creating little things for my child and our family, soft T-shirts with comforting messages, cozy hoodies, warm blankets that felt like hugs, and tumblers filled with reminders of kindness and acceptance.

And slowly, I began noticing something beautiful.

Every time my child received one of these gifts, I saw more smiles, more happiness, more confidence, and more emotional connection. These simple products became little reminders that they were loved, understood, and never alone.

What started as a mother’s way of comforting her child soon became something much bigger.

I realized there are so many other families walking the same journey, mothers who love deeply, families searching for understanding, and children who deserve to feel accepted for exactly who they are.

That is why AutismHugs was created.
